-had a little surgery in my foot last week, stayed in bed for two days.
-yesterday I helped alice with setting up the forest. We had to make the textures in ps instead of
mudbox. It worked almoust as fine in ps actually. I tweaked the sprites for the leaves to look more like the other scenes in the forest. We tested out paint effects, and it seemes like it's ok for background fill. We put up some mattes in tthe background of the scene.
-started modeling the frog again, had some issues making it look good in maya. I figured that the mental ray approximation node smoothes out the texture and normal map, so we will use normal mesh smooth instead. It is a bit more heavy on the computer, but it seemes like we have no choice. The rendertime is still pretty low though (14 sec in HD)...
-8/10 i made a bg list and updated the latest animatic with scene numbers, wich is the ones we are going to use as a final. I there will be added more scenes later on we're gonna start using half numbers (010 015 020 etc...) Got to finish up the frog soon, so peter can start skinning. I'm one week behind schedule at the moment... We planned to do an animation test next week (week 8 winterbreak), but that seems a bit unrealistic now, but let's see....
